8 LGUs have local transmissions

There are five new COVID-19 positive patients in Negros Occidental and two in Bacolod City, while 13 others have recovered from the virus, the Department of Health reported yesterday.

The two from Bacolod are a 23-year-old male and a 44 year-old female who are domestic cases and home quarantined, the DOH said.

Of the five from Negros Occidental, four are locally stranded individuals from Talisay City, Valladolid, Himamaylan City and Pontevedra, and one domestic case from Talisay City.

The 39-year-old female from Talisay City is a close contact of a frontliner at a private hospital in Bacolod City.

The DOH also reported that of the 13 COVID-19 patients who recovered, four are from Manapla, three from Talisay City, two from San Enrique and one each from Bacolod, Cauayan, Bago City and Sipalay City.

Negros Occidental as of Saturday had COVID-19 local transmissions in six cities and two towns.

Talisay City has 8, Manapla – 5, Cadiz City -2, Bago City, Silay City, Sagay City, Isabela and Sipalay City – one each, Charina Magallanes-Tan, Negros Occidental COVID-19 Incident Command Center spokesperson, said.*
