Eight more drug suspects were arrested by the police in a series of buy-bust operations on March 9 in Negros Occidental, that yielded more than P76,000 worth of suspected shabu.
The buy-bust operation on March 9 at Palau Beach in Brgy. Patun-an, Calatrava, led to the apprehension of six suspects identified by the police as Johnny Allera, Rodcell John Fernandez, CyvenLirazan, JunelBatohanon, Ralph Senador and Crislie Joy Bacalla.
The joint operation of the Calatrava police led by Maj. Roberto Indiape and the San Carlos City Police Station, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, also led to the recovery of 6.48 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P63,504, assorted illegal drugs paraphernalia and P500 in marked money.
Another drug suspect identified by the police as Editodela Torre was also arrested in another buy-bust operation in Brgy. Lag-asan, Bago City.
The apprehension of dela Torre yielded 0.6 gram of suspected shabu, worth P4,080, P300 in marked money and P310 in cash, a police report said.
Another buy-bust operation in Brgy. 1-B, Manapla, also resulted in the arrest of JonelHuervana, 28, that also yielded 1.27 grams of suspectedshabu, with a market value of P8,636, P500 in marked money and a cellular phone.
All the arrested drug suspects are now detained at police custodial facilities in Calatrava, Bago City and Manapla.*
