4 nabbed with 106K in shabu

The arrest of four drug suspects in separate buy-bust operations Tuesday led to the confiscation of more than P106,000 worth of suspected shabu, the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office said yesterday.

Nabbed during a buy-bust operation in Sitio Barra, Brgy. Mambulac, Silay City, were Joey Atienza and Alex Martin Duran, both categorized by the police as street level individual drug personalities.

Atienza, 28, and Duran, 18, yielded 13 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P88,400, drug paraphernalia, two cellular phones, P1,000 in buy-bust money, and P162 in cash proceeds, the police said.

A similar buy-bust operation was conducted by the police at Crossing High School, Brgy. Lag-asan, Bago City, also on Tuesday, that resulted in the arrest of Carlo Sioco, 21, and the confiscation of  0.7 gram of suspected shabu, worth P4,760, two cellular phones, P500 in marked money, and P196 in cash.

The police also seized about two grams of suspected shabu, worth P13,600, its assorted paraphernalia, P290 in cash, and P500 in marked money from Emmanuel Mauricio, alias Emman, who was nabbed in Purok Sigay, Brgy. Zone 5, Talisay City, a police report added.*
