Two persons died in a vehicular accident in Talisay City, while two others were killed in shooting incidents in Kabankalan and Sipalay, all in Negros Occidental, the police said yesterday.

Allan Bedonia, 55, and his nephew, Rodrigo Bedonia, 22, were declared dead on arrival at an emergency clinic, after the motorcycle they were riding was sideswiped by a Prime Mover truck at the Bacolod-Silay Access Road in Hacienda Busay, Brgy. Efigenio Lizares in Talisay on Saturday.

Police investigations showed that the truck of Jose Kenneth Verbo hit the motorcycle driven by Allan while overtaking it.

Both victims were on their way home after attending a family event in Silay, when the vehicular accident took place.

Verbo is now detained at the Talisay City Police Station custodial facility.

Meanwhile, a farmer identified as Rodney Magbanua was found dead in Sitio Mambaya-on, Brgy. Inapoy, Kabankalan, on Friday.

The body bore multiple gunshot wounds and was discovered by Inapoy barangay captain Roberto Tarrosan, the police said, adding that two fired cartridges of a 9mm pistol were recovered at the crime scene.

An unidentified gunman also shot and killed Bonnen Garcia in Purok Camanggos, Brgy. Maricalum, Sipalay City, also on Friday.

Initial police investigations showed that Garcia, 30, was on his way to the Maricalum barangay proper, when he was shot by a gunman on a black 150cc Raider motorcycle.

The victim sustained three gunshot wounds and was declared dead on arrival at the Sipalay City infirmary, police also said. Recovered from the scene of incident were two empty shells of a 9mm caliber pistol.*
