The Department of Health reported 4,335 new recovered cases yesterday, pushing the total number of Covid-19 recoveries nationwide to 1,131,942.

In its latest Covid-19 bulletin, the DOH said the figure is equivalent to a 94.3-percent recovery rate out of a total 1,200,430 infections since the start of the pandemic last year.

It also tallied 6,483 new confirmed Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of active cases to 48,109.

Of the active cases, about 92.7 percent are mild, 2.2 percent asymptomatic, 2.1 percent severe, 1.47 are moderate, and 1.6 percent are in critical condition.

It also logged 210 new deaths, pushing the death toll to 20,379, or 1.70 percent of the total cases.

Data submitted on May 25 also showed that 12.5 percent of 47,869 who were tested turned out positive for Covid-19.

Currently, 59 percent of 1,900 intensive care unit beds, 46 percent of 13,600 isolation beds, 48 percent of 6,000 ward beds, and 38 percent of 2,000 ventilators are utilized by Covid patients nationwide.*PNA
