Three persons were arrested for allegedly carrying deadly weapons at corner San Sebastian-Gatuslao streets in Barangay 15, Bacolod City, at about 4:30 p.m. yesterday.

Police Station 1 personnel nabbed Marcel Asis and John Paul Aguilar, both 30 and from Barangay Mansilingan, and Armilo Aplaon, 33, of Barangay Taculing, a police report said.

A .38 caliber homemade revolver with a live ammunition and an empty cartridge case were seized from Asis, a 12-inch long bladed weapon from Aguilar, and a 9-inch long bladed weapon from Aplaon, police records show.

The three are now detained at the custodial facility of Station 1, and charges for violations of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, and Batas Pambansa 6 or illegal possession of bladed, pointed or blunt weapons are being readied against Asis, Aguilar, and Aplaon, the police said.*
