More than 2,780 frontliners including medical professionals and other hospital staff members in Bacolod City have been inoculated against Coronavirus 2019 since the start of the vaccination program two weeks ago.

Dr. Chris Sorongon, deputy for data and medical analysis of the City’s Emergency Operations Center, said 2,350 of these frontliners were the first batch to be inoculated with the China-made Sinovac vaccines.

As of yesterday, additional 84 frontliners, out of 420 who volunteered,  were vaccinated with the second batch of Sinovac vaccines that arrived in Bacolod on Saturday, Sorongon said.

There were also 353 out of 1,560 frontliners  who received the British-Swedish AstraZeneca vaccines, he added.

Sorongon also said the activity will continue until all those who have volunteered for inoculation using Sinovac and AstraZeneca vaccines have been inoculated.

Em Ang, Executive Director of EOC, meanwhile said that they have no schedules for the inoculation of the personnel of the Bacolod City Police Office yet.

Ang said, the City will follow the priority list of who should be inoculated first, based on the guidelines of the Department of Health.*
