Policemen and operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency have arrested 14 drug suspects in a series of buy-bust operations during the weekend in Negros Occidental, that yielded P177, 400 worth of suspected shabu.
Ten of the arrested drug suspects were apprehended Sunday during a buy-bust operation in Brgy. 6, San Carlos City, that also resulted in the confiscation of about 20 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P136,000.
Nabbed were Roldan Cantero, Ricardo Rodriguez, Arnel Solitario, Joemar Manayon, Jenefred Patatag, Jessie Alfon, Diomedes Broce, Alex Mabida, Antonio Despi and Arvin Barbadillo.
The arrest of Jerico Ationg in another buy-bust operation in Brgy. Jonob-Jonob, Escalante City, yielded three sachets of suspected shabu with a market value of P1,500 and P500 in marked money.
A drug suspect identified as Leo Galvan was apprehended by the police during a buy-bust operation, also on Sunday in Brgy. San Jose, Binalbagan, that yielded P1,000 worth of suspected shabu, P500 in marked money and P1,200 in cash believed to be proceeds from sale of illegal drugs.
The apprehension of Joebert Serato in another buy-bust operation Sunday in Brgy. Zone 6, Talisay City, also yielded three grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P14,400, marked money of P500, and P1,100 in cash claimed by the police to be proceeds from the sale of illegal drugs.
A drug suspect identified by the police as Rodolfo Canillo is now in jail after his arrest Saturday during a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Bacuyangan, Hinobaan.
The arrest of Canillo, classified by the Hinobaan police as a Street Level Individual drug personality, yielded 3. 61 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P24,548, P1,000 in marked money and a Black XRM 125 motorcycle.*
