Bacolod City had 77 new COVID-19 cases and two deaths during the weekend, breaching the 500-mark, while Negros Occidental had 50 new cases for a total of 800, the Department of Health 6 reported yesterday.
Western Visayas had 2,792 COVID-19 cases, as of yesterday, of which 1,516 are active cases.
Negros Occidental is in first place with 800 cases, followed by Iloilo City with 649, Iloilo province – 614, Bacolod City – 513, Capiz – 101, Guimaras – 52, Antique – 23, and Aklan – 25.
Western Visayas has 38 COVID-19 deaths with Bacolod City and Iloilo City having 11 each, Iloilo province – 9, Negros Occidental and Capiz – 3 each, and Aklan – 1.*
